Planning permisison and listed building consent has been granted for the refurbishment of this glorious grade II listed building in the heart of the commercial district of 
Middlesborough. Commerce House, one of Middlesbrough’s most distinctive buildings was originally in the ownership of the North Eastern Banking Company, but was occupied by the former Teesside Chamber of Commerce from 1935 until recently. the ground and first floor will now be sensitively refurbished to provide premier quality retail and office accommodation. The top floor was designed to function as an apartment for the use of the bank manager and subsequently for personnel associated with the Chamber. It has a separate access adjacent to Commerce House, but can also be reached internally – this will be come an extraordinary penthouse!
