Wow… what a lot of work for one small business!

The end of the first week of October –

how did we get here so quickly?!

The sun has shone and the trees are turning. The office pot plants are all still alive. (This is no mean feat.)

Allen has been to Manchester for a meeting to agree our contribution to the Transport for the North: Strategic Plan.

Matthew has just discovered that you can upload multiple files simultaneously on the Planning Portal, which apparently is a “game-changer”.

Peter has (of course) had more cups of tea than everyone else put together.

Alison has continued to create beautiful CAD drawings, graphics and more to illustrate our work.

Jo has started her MSc course at Newcastle University, celebrated her husband passing his PhD viva, and decided it was time to start wearing a bobble hat on her commute.

Anne has once again kept us organised and afloat with her administrative and invoicing wizardry.

Our clients have kept us out of mischief…

…and one even paid an invoice within 48 hours!

(For a small business like us and other FSB members, prompt payments make a huge difference.)

We’ve worked on schemes as varied as:

Refurbishment and conversion of listed buildings – Section 247 Agreement – Compulsory Purchase Order for a railway station redevelopment – Fee proposals for services in relation to building “Grand Designs” houses – Face-to-face meetings with clients to review project progress – Meetings with a local council regarding an ongoing major project – Researching and writing a sustainability statement

Time for a well-deserved weekend, we think.

Enjoy yours, and see you next week!
