Expert planning advice for community groups and residents associations

Over the last 18 months, we’ve been working with a community group in Leeds – advising and representing them in objecting to a planning application for up to 140 new houses to be built on Green Belt land.

The community were concerned about the proposals and approached us to advise them on the robustness of the applicant’s case.

We listened to the concerns of the community, carefully reviewed the many documents submitted and concluded that the application failed to demonstrate the existence of ‘very special circumstances’ needed to build in the Green Belt.

We attended the planning committee in April this year, and spoke on behalf of the community group – at which the committee ruled in our favour!

The community group provided us with some fantastic feedback, which can be found here

It is now six months since the date of the planning committee’s decision. We are pleased to note that the residents group remain very pleased with the outcome and the “excellent job”  Ethical Partnership did for them – their words, not ours!

Please contact us to discuss any planning application where you feel we may be able to assist your group both understand it and make representations.
